We understand you have questions. Here are the ones we hear most often.

NIJ Level IIIA is designed to stop most common handgun rounds including 9mm, .40 S&W, .357 Magnum, and .44 Magnum. It does not protect against rifle rounds. Each of our panels is independently tested and certified to NIJ Standard 0101.06.

Our garments add approximately 1-1.5 lbs depending on the style—about the weight of a water bottle. The weight is evenly distributed and most children adapt within a day or two. Many kids tell us they forget it's there entirely.

All protective panels are easily removable via hidden zippers. Simply remove the panels, machine wash the jacket on gentle cycle, and reinsert the panels when dry. The panels themselves can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

We currently offer sizes for children ages 4-16, corresponding to standard youth sizes XS through XL. Each size range includes adjustable features to accommodate growth, and we offer a panel exchange program as your child grows.

Yes. Body armor is legal for civilians to purchase and wear in all 50 states (with minor restrictions for felons in some states). Our garments look like regular clothing and comply with school dress codes. We recommend informing school administration if you prefer.
